PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for the maintenance of the property under management by executing preventive and routine building maintenance activities, record keeping, installing new equipment and maintaining tenant relationships, to ensure that all operational/ maintenance needs are addressed timeously and effectively.
Grade 12 with 3 years’ experience in Electrical, Plumbing, Welding or related field in the Building-maintenance environment, Computer literate MS Office & Driver’s license.
Supervise the day to day operations of all buildings under management, third party/contractors.
Responsible for the resolution of all maintenance/operational related issues for the properties under management.
Ensure that all maintenance related issues are dealt with timeously, cost effectively and received/completed at the highest possible standard.
Maintenance assignments are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Maintenance records, work orders, and department logs are accurate and up-to-date.
Management is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
Centre operations are efficiently, cost effectively and all duties allocated is completed to the highest possible standard.
Equipment is well maintained and in good operating condition.
Preventive maintenance is performed as scheduled.
Continuously checks and inspects buildings to identify maintenance needs across all properties under management.
Build and plasters broken equipment or fixtures.
Paint shops when tenants have vacated the premises.
Ensure that walls receive touch up paint where required.
Replace loose or broken tiles.
Fix or replaces old doors and cupboards.
Fix small scale electrical faults when a subcontractor is not needed.
Check and fixe all fittings in toilets (taps, basins, urinals, pipes etc) when a subcontractor is not needed.
Replace faulty light bulbs for all properties under management.
Weld gates and doors.
Repair equipment in toilets when necessary.
Ensure that work area and grounds are clean, secure, and well maintained.
Respond promptly and efficiently to duties allocated by supervisor.
Ensure the general maintenance of toilets, light fixtures and cleaning of Erf 222.
Deal with operational aspects of the properties including security, refuse removal and all subcontractors and ensures a positive relationship with them.
Assist Marketing Manager with hanging up Centre decorations when requested
Assist Marketing Manager with promotional activities within the centers under management.
Provide professional customer service:
Respond promptly and efficiently to tenant maintenance requirements, thereby ensuring excellent service delivery.
Act responsibly during external relationships to uplift the image of the company.
Adhere to Company Policies, Code of Conduct, Procedures and Group Values.
Quality management of work covered by standard operating procedures.
Decides on accuracy of own work. Plans tasks according to procedure, training & experience

Report injuries on duty to the Risk /Management
