Duty Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the above-mentioned position to be based in Oshakati, reporting to the DC Manager. The purpose of the position is to ensure that all admin functions are performed and all reasonable tasks are completed to ensure the efficiency of the DC.

Opportunity | Duty Requirement(s)

Key Performance Areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide effective administration services to the Distribution department
  • Ensure effective co-ordination of DCM’s office
  • Ensure timeous and accurate monthly QMS and ICC reporting
  • Take full responsibility for monthly Customs & Excise account
  • Create Customs & Excise documentation for  cross border and Inbond Sales on Asycuda
  • Perform monthly reconciliation on Stamp Duty
  • Create and process purchase requisitions on SAP as well as requesting orders when required
  • Process write-offs on SAP
  • Receiving and logging of customer Complaints, maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Preparations and co-ordinations for forecasts and reporting on variances (OPEX budget control)
  • Effective contribution to the monthly internal audit function for the Distribution Centre
  • Ensure costs are contained through continual investigation and improvement of asset utilization
  • Ensure that the ISO 9001:2000 documentation is maintained and applied
  • Preparation and consolidation of all monthly reporting
  • Maintain an accurate filing system and practice good admin housekeeping
  • Relief when required for DAC Clerks
  • Effectively plan and manage procurement (i.e. shopping)
  • Prepare documentation and assist with monthly stock take, processing and capturing on the SAP system

Preferable qualifications / experience/ skills:

  • Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar environment
  • Computer literacy (MS Office & SAP packages); experience of COUPA will be an added advantage
  • Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license (Code B/BE)
  • Strong administration skills with a financial background
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Innovative, self-driven individual with the ability to work independently as well as within a team
